Big Boi Live Stream from D.C. w/ Crown Royal and Rolling Stone – This was a co-produced live production between Foundation Content and XI Media. We turned the small yet stylish Park at 14th in Washington D.C. and turned it into a Crown Royal infused banger of a club for the night. This was the very first ever live stream for Rolling Stone using a Satellite truck and the first EVER live stream for Foundation Content. We had a blast and Big Boi was a pleasure to work with.
LCD Soundsystem: The Long Goodbye – Our team was fortunate enough to be hired by Pitchfork to produce / enhance audio and live stream LCD’s final show from Madison Square Garden. The stream was a huge undertaking with many moving parts, but in the end, it was gorgeous and an epic farewell to a great band. The stream had over 132,000 views during the one time only stream….very impressive. BIG THANKS to Pitchfork for trusting our team to get the job done in NYC.
Fleet Foxes Live Stream from Stubb’s in Austin, TX for NPR - NPR and XI Media have been doing quite a bit of work together in 20XI, and we absolutely love it! We were asked to capture the luscious melodies and and atmosphere of the very entertaining Fleet Foxes at Stubb’s here in Austin. We ran a five camera shoot and full multi-track audio mix for this stream. We used a PacSat satellite truck to get the feed up and out, which was a first for us to do in the states. Everything flowed very smoothly and both NPR and the band were pleased with the end result which saw fans from all over the world converging on NPR’s site to enjoy the show.
Fader Fort – For the past three years, Cornerstone Promotion and Fader Media have hired XI Media to provide live streaming of four days of non-stop music from artists such as Kanye West, Matt and Kim, Odd Future, Diddy to indie favorites Local Natives, James Blake and Oh Land. With over 1.6 million stream views, the Fader Fort is definitely a HUGELY successful online event every year during SXSW.
Sweet Life Festival Live Stream at Merriweather Post Pavilion – Our team headed out to Maryland where we joined forces with Sweet Green and Rolling Stone to bring the Sweet Life to a global online audience. We had nearly 40,000 views which was great considering this was a last minute stream. Artists included The Strokes, Theophilus London, Ra Ra Riot, Cold War Kids, Girl Talk and more. We integrated our switcher with much of the existing set up at the Merriweather Pavilion and everything flowed seamlessly. John Riddle single-handedly rocked full multi-track mixes for every artist that day and Jon Burke brought his jibbing powers operating a 24ft beast. We had a really great time at this event, what a GORGEOUS venue!
